The UQ Economics Society of Australia (ESA) Student Chapter is a non-profit organisation run by student volunteers. ESA is dedicated to maximise the benefit to all student members, our partners and the economics community through various social and careers events and initiatives taken throughout each year.
Social activities
ESA runs social functions to help strengthen bonds between students and build relationships with faculty. This is because we strongly believe in building a vibrant economics community, something that will make your experience at UQ really worthwhile.
Industry connections
ESA also provides professional development opportunities as we bridge the gap between the corporate community and our student society. This serves to integrate theory and practice, allowing true ‘real world’ exposure. Our flagship event in this area is the Careers and Cocktails evening which involves a meet and greet opportunity for students and corporate partners alike.
